Underdeveloped OCs might not have a complete profile or a picture. They’re so focused on the Mary Sues or the sparkly/rainbow-haired/kawaii-desu-ne/perfect god mod that the forgettable characters fly under the radar. I put this first because this is a factor that people on Amino tend to disregard. However, for the sake of this guide, I’ll be using terms within the universe to exemplify these factors better. There are many factors that can potentially contribute to this, and many of them apply to fandoms in general, rather than just the Zelda community. ~.*.~ What can make an OC unappealing or cliché? ~.*.~ That said, there are still many ways that a character, regardless of whether they’re intended for RP for a fanfic, can be unappealing to the community at large. Canon characters might not be as prominent in an RP, so there’s also room for OCs to assume these more dynamic roles. Roleplay characters can be more flexible than story-driven characters, as the latter might have to fit into a specific game while the former isn’t as susceptible to such a limitation. While I personally find there aren’t many differences between the two, I think there are still a couple things to address. Whenever I take a litmus test, there are always separate categories depending on whether your character is meant to be in a fanfiction or a roleplay. In this case, our OCs are designed to be placed comfortably within the Zelda universe. A fan character-or an original character, as many have come to put it-is a character designed to fit within a particular fictional world or universe. Before we do anything else, I feel this is something that must be addressed. ![]() ![]() Pour honey over the ingredients and let sit overnight. Raw honey contains powerful antioxidants called polyphenols as well as the disease-fighting antioxidant flavonoids pinocembrin, pinostrobin and chrysin. Honey is a delicious natural sweetener that has many benefits to our health, including helping reduce allergy symptoms. Onions also have natural antibacterial properties, making them beneficial for fighting infections. Regular consumption of onion is associated with lower cancer risks, heart health benefits, healthy bone density, prevention and management of diabetes, less inflammation associated with arthritis and asthma, and with protection and faster recovery from respiratory infections. Studies suggest onions offer immunity benefits because of their many antioxidants, including flavonoids like quercetin and anthocyanins . Onion ( Allium cepa L.) is in the same plant family as garlic and leeks and is one of the world’s oldest cultivated plants. Because garlic is known to reduce the severity of cold and flu-like illnesses, it makes sense why garlic could be a logical choice to have as an ally for viruses in the corona family. Garlic supports cardiovascular function, can mitigate the effects of fatty liver disease, is antimicrobial, and provides antioxidants. This makes garlic a natural defender against harmful organisms like bacteria, viruses, protozoa, and fungus. Interestingly, allicin continues to work when consumed by the human body. The pest-resistant properties of allicin, the property that garlic becomes when it is chopped or crushed, acts as a defense mechanism that protects plants from pests. Sulfurous compounds give garlic its healing abilities. Garlic ( Allium sativum) is considered one of mother nature’s best medicines and has been used medicinally by humans for over 7,000 years. ![]() ![]() Thyme is also an aromatic herb with a unique combination of phytochemicals that make it ideal for protecting lungs and the entire respiratory system.
